Can You Keep Still
I am asking that question because I did not know if I could keep still and Reverence God all at the same time. Just this weekend I was at a Worship Gathering and I was thoroughly blessed beyond what I have ever experience in my life. We were instructed to be quiet before the LORD and let his spirit inhabit the sanctuary. As we were quiet before the LORD and when the appointed time came to release the prayers and worship, it was totally awesome, so I challenge you today to spend 15 minutes in silence before God, for the sole purpose of listening for his voice to receive instruction and then at the appointed time release the prayer and worship to him, and watch how the spirit of the LORD will move upon you.
Another area is giving God reverence. When we walk into the sanctuary of the Almighty, no talking, laughing, or business transactions should be taking place. There are ones that come into the sanctuary to talk to God and to give him respect. Would you like someone to come into your home and disrespect it by interrupting your rest and treating your home as if it were not important. The same way when we enter into the sanctuary of GOD we should come in with a quiet spirit, giving respect, honor and GLORY to the AMIGHTY GOD FOR HE IS WORTHY!!! HALLELUJAH!!! Being in the sanctuary is not to discuss what you brought at the mall on the other day or look at my new shoes, it is to have a conversation with the FATHER, to let him know how much you love and adore him; to declare his wondrous works among the nations. Always sending up a sweet smelling fragrance to him. The next time you come into the Sanctuary of GOD, remember to come before him quiet with the expectation to hear from him and to receive instruction on how to minister to his people.
I would love your feed back on this topic,
Until the next time,
Maria
Praying Corporately
Mark 11:17-"And he taught, saying unto them, is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? But ye have made it a den of thieves."
First of all when we come into the sanctuary we should reverence this place, it is Holy unto God! He alone wants you to talk to him, invite him into your life. Invite him into the service. When we come to prayer it should never be about us, it should be always about our Heavenly Father whose is in Heaven and the will he has for our lives. It has been often said when we take care of God's business, he will take care of our issues and needs.
These are some points we should take into consideration when Praying Corporately:
- Make it a daily task that when you pray corporately that when the prayer leader gives you what you all are praying for, to write the requests down, it is impossible to remember them all.
- Those who are ill among you. James 5:14 "Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the LORD: James 5:15"And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the LORD shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
- If there are ministry related projects that you are praying for to expand the ministry this should be included in the corporate prayer.
- Always pray for the Sunday Service or any Main weekly Worship services, a suggestion that I have is that the intercessors be ON ONE ACCORD, and On their Post before the services start. Before you leave home prayer and worship should be your personality. When you arrive at church or your meeting place the following should be going on:
1. There should be some soft Worship Music playing.
2. The santuary should be closed off so that anyone entering should be coming
into pray until the service starts.
3. The Praise Teams and Ministerial Staff should gather together to pray for one
another and that the LORD will use them as he see fit. Invite the LORD into
the service HIS spirit will permeate the building.
The Intercessory Prayer Team should be Praying the the LORD send in the souls to the meeting place of worship. That all in attendance will let the WORD penetrate their hearts and minds. That all in attendance will be set free and delivered from their issues; and that God fulfill their needs. That HEALING will take place for those that are sick and afflicted in their bodies.
Prayer is essential to the building of the Ministry! Prayer should be the FOUNDATION!
Matthew 7:24-25 reads:
"Therefore whosever heareth these sayings of mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man. Which built his house upon a rock. And the rain descended and the floods came and the winds blew, and beat upon that house and it fell not. For it was founded upon a rock.
- The Ministry should be solid as a rock.
- The Ministry should be able to withstand the fiery darts of the enemy.
- The Ministry should always have Prayer going on.
I Thessalonians 5:17 " Pray without Ceasing!"
